Phoenix Players

Current Production:

Our next show is the family pantomime "Beasts In The Wood". Children's story time about Cinderella, Red Riding Hood and Jack & the Beanstalk takes on a life of its own when a wicked witch intervenes and the children get lost in the woods! Dame Polly has to rescue the kids before the witch or the mad, bad Doctor Y and his Mashing Monsters can get to them first! Expect the unexpected as this story evolves.

The show will be performed for three nights from Thursday the 23rd to Saturday the 25th of February, 2012 (with an extra matinee show on Saturday the 25th as well) at the Edward Alleyn Theatre, Dulwich College .

The cast is NOW OPEN although we have cast all the main parts since our auditions on Nov 21st but we are still welcomong new members to join the chorus until early/mid December. If you want to get involved then drop us a line from the Contact form below (just so we can manage numbers) and pop along to our Clive Road rehearsal venue (see address below) at 7:30pm on any Monday night.

As always our goal is to get as many people involved as possible so don't be nervous about coming along, we're all here to have fun and we will have a place for everyone!

With Public transport: Check with the Journey Planner of www.tfl.gov.uk but Nettlefold hall is a 2 minute walk from West Norwood train station, on the High St. Trains to West Norwood leave from Victoria Station (direct service) or from London Bridge (change at Tulse Hill or Crystal Palace).

With Public transport: Check with the Journey Planner of www.tfl.gov.uk but the Number 3 bus from Trafalgar Square via Brixton to Crystal Palace stops right outside. From the bus stop just walk down Clive Passage to the entrance of the hall.

Show Fees

Unfortunately as a voluntary group with no public funding we have to cover our costs. We don't charge a membership fee as such but there is a Show Fee for anyone in a production. The amount depends on the show and for this panto it's £72 (£36 for concessions).
