The result of one of her more fruitful Google searches brings Mary to Phoenix Players, her first London AmDram group after moving to the capital in 2008. She first opened her mouth to sing when she was about 5 and sadly for her friends and family she hasn’t stopped yet! We at Phoenix hope she continues for many more years! Having always wanted to be in a panto, 2008’s ‘The Grand Old Duke of York’ gave her a gret starting point and she didn’t let the fact that her spectacular fall on the night if the 4th performance was caught in video for posterity put her off in the slightest (DVDs available for £10!) Since then Mary has not disappointed going on to play the female lead in 2009’s ‘How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying’ and even choreographing for 2010’s ‘Snowy White and the Seven Hillbillies’. She loves a random role but we hope she will continue to ‘step in time’ with us for a long time to come!
