Jack and the Beamstalk

In sleepy Mossy Bottom Town, our hero Jack lives on a run-down farm with his Mum and their cow, Milkyway. Dreaming of something more, Jack’s life changes when a chance encounter with his friend Barry causes a mysterious beamstalk to appear in the field, and Milkyway is suddenly abducted. Determined to save her, Jack embarks on an adventure that takes him far beyond Mossy Bottom, where he meets a cast of extraordinary characters including a space princess, her father, and the villainous Lord Vortex, who plans to conquer the universe, Earth and Mossy Bottom Town!

Will Jack save the day, and most importantly, will he be reunited with his beloved cow?

Our first show of 2026 was Jack and the Beamstalk, written and directed by Wesley Hudson and Izz Ions. They were supported by a fabulous team, including Eve Millward as Musical Director and Sophie Stockwell as Lead Choreographer.

Beamstalk was a toe-tapping, high-energy adventure, taking a classic story and giving it a sci-fi twist, full of unapologetic campness and sillyness.
