Jack and the Beamstalk
In sleepy Mossy Bottom Town, our hero Jack lives on a run-down farm with his Mum and their cow, Milkyway. Dreaming of something more, Jack’s life changes when a chance encounter with his friend Barry causes a mysterious beamstalk to appear in the field, and Milkyway is suddenly abducted. Determined to save her, Jack embarks on an adventure that takes him far beyond Mossy Bottom, where he meets a cast of extraordinary characters including a space princess, her father, and the villainous Lord Vortex, who plans to conquer the universe, Earth and Mossy Bottom Town!
Will Jack save the day, and most importantly, will he be reunited with his beloved cow?
Our first show of 2026 will be Jack and the Beamstralk, written and directed by Wesley Hudson and Izz Ions. They’ll be supported by a fabulous team which includes Eve Millward as Musical Director and Sophie Stockwell as Lead Choreographer.
It’s a toe-tapping, high-energy adventure that takes a classic story and gives it a sci-fi twist. If you love unapologetic campness and sillyness, then this is the show for you.

Everyone is welcome at Phoenix so if you’d like to join us in the ensemble and don’t fancy auditioning that’s completely fine, we do however ask that you fill in the audition form and just select no audition so that we have your details and can keep you up to date.
