Jack and the Beamstalk

In sleepy Mossy Bottom Town, our hero Jack lives on a run-down farm with his Mum and their cow, Milkyway. Dreaming of something more, Jack’s life changes when a chance encounter with his friend Barry causes a mysterious beamstalk to appear in the field, and Milkyway is suddenly abducted. Determined to save her, Jack embarks on an adventure that takes him far beyond Mossy Bottom, where he meets a cast of extraordinary characters including a space princess, her father, and the villainous Lord Vortex, who plans to conquer the universe, Earth and Mossy Bottom Town!

Will Jack save the day, and most importantly, will he be reunited with his beloved cow?

Our first show of 2026 will be Jack and the Beamstalk, written and directed by Wesley Hudson and Izz Ions. They will be supported by a fabulous team which includes Eve Millward as Musical Director and Sophie Stockwell as Lead Choreographer.

It’s a toe-tapping, high-energy adventure that takes a classic story and gives it a sci-fi twist. If you love unapologetic campness and sillyness, then this is the show for you.

Get involved

Auditions took place on 5th and 6th January 2026, but it’s not too late to join the ensemble.

Rehearsals start on 12th January and run on Mondays 7.30pm-9.30pm - show week is from May 4th to 9th.

We are also keen for volunteers in production and crew roles and would love to hear from enthusiasts!
