Cinderbeania!
It is the opening night of Phoenix Players' next greatest hit show... but there is a problem. A lawyer has arrived with unwelcome news, and the show is forced to close before it has even started.
With the audience already in their seats, our cast (and crew) have no choice but to fashion an entirely new show from scratch.
Who will step forward to lead this new creation? Will the new writer and director go mad with power and make themselves the star? And how on earth will the story end?
Find out all this, and more, in our madcap midwinter panto... CINDERBEANIA!
We are delighted to invite you to Phoenix’s winter show for 2026, written and directed by Simon Kerry!

What should audiences expect?
A fun, fast-paced family pantomime featuring comedy villains, magical adventures and plenty of silliness. Contains some mild spooky moments and comic threats that may be unsettling for very young children, as well as scenes with flashing lights and sound effects and sudden darkness, all within a light-hearted pantomime setting.
In true pantomime spirit, there are many moments of audience participation - do feel free to join in and shout out when encouraged by the cast. Of course if that isn't your vibe and you just want to sit back and enjoy the show, that is fine too
Get involved
Auditions took place in July and the show has been cast - but it’s still not too late to join the ensemble. If you’d like to be involved behind-the-scenes, we’d also love to hear from you. Pop an email to cinderbeania@gmail.com.
Regular rehearsals are weekly on Mondays (except Bank Holidays) at 7:30pm to 9:30pm at Emmanuel Church, with one or two Thursday evening and Sunday all day rehearsals (dates tbc).
